HORIZONTAL HIGH PRESSURE CYLINDICAL STEAM STERILIZER
WORKING PARAMETERS
· Chamber Working Pressure: 2.2 Kg/Cm
· Jacket Working Pressure: 2.5 Kg/Cm
· Chamber Working Temperature: 134º C.
HYDRO TEST
· Chamber: One & Half time the working pressure.
· Jacket: Twice the Working Pressure.
CHAMBER & BACKPLATE
The Sterilizing Chamber is fabricated from 4 mm S.S.316 L Quality with full argon welding. Chamber is perfectly rounded for Easy Cleaning and a 2 % Slope for full Draining of the Condensate. A removable Screen Plug is Provided in the Drain Lines to Prevent Clogging of the Drainpipes and fittings. A Steam Baffle is Provided at the top of Chamber. The Chamber is Provided with a Compound Gauge.
JACKET: The jacket is fabricated from 3 mm S.S.304 L Quality. The Jacket besides reinforcing the chamber also helps to maintain the temperature uniformity in the sterilizing space. The Jacket is Provided with a Safety Valve and Pressure Gauge on Operating Side.
INSULATION: Resin Bonded Rock wool insulation of 75 mm thickness Which is held in place by an outer cover of S.S.304 Stainless Steel. (24 SWG).

STAND & CONTROL PANEL
The Sterilizer is mounted on a tubular stand along with Electrical Panel made up of M.S. Quality Powder Coated.
DOOR
· The Sterilization Chamber will be provided with one Hinge type doors. The Door is made of 16 MM S.S.304L Quality Stainless Steel Plate. The door is Sealing is effected with the help of Silicon Door Gasket.
· (Door Opening & Closing Manually)
· The Following Door Safety Features are Provided for Operator Safety:-
· Process lock to prevent opening of the door during the process.
VACUUM BREAK FILTER
A 0.2 micron vacuum break filter is provided on sterile side for pressure equalization after vacuum creation.
PIPING PACKAGE
· All piping is made of S.S. 304 Quality with full argon welding. All connection used are threaded.
· The piping is design to ensure that the customer at a single point can provide utility connection. The pipeline also has 2% slopes for full draining to prevent contamination.
VALVE PACKAGE
The process valves used is Electrically actuated pneumatic valves with threaded connections with the help of pressurized air.
BAFFLE
For effective distribution of steam throughout in the chamber & to avoid the entering steam from directly hitting onto the load.
CHAMBER CONDENSATE LINE – FORBES MARSHALL
Incorporated with steam traps and check valve for perfect condensation to get optimum temperature.
VALIDATION PORTS
The chamber is provided with validation ports for inserting sensors during process Qualification.
EJECTOR SYSTEMS
To create partial vacuum this helps in quick drying.
MICROPROCESSOR BASED DIGITAL FULL AUTOMATION SYSTEM
The control System is provided with a Microprocessor based digital automation system and it performs the below given processes automatically: -
1) Settable various programs & recipes.
2) Pre – Vacuum Pulsing Process.
3) Steam to jacket process.
4) Steam from jacket to chamber process.
5) Sterilization time & temp hold.
6) Automatic-Exhaust facility.
7) Post – Vacuum Drying Process.
8) Sterilization Cycle information Storing & printing facility like Hospital name, date, time, temperature, Pressure, f0 value, & other process phases like heating mode, Pulsing, Sterilization mode, Exhaust mode, Drying Mode, etc.
SENSOR
PT 100 sensors are used for PLC and manual control & indication in the chamber.
PRINTING FACILITY
The Sterilizer is provided with a facility to print the Sterilization cycle, hospital name, date, time, temperature, pressure, f0 value along with cycle description.
VACUUM PUMP
· The Sterilizer is provided with water-ring type Vacuum Pump. This Vacuum Pump is Used for Creating Vacuum in the chamber for mechanical air removal prior to sterilization and subsequently for post sterilization vacuum drying.
· The Vacuum Pump Can be mounted near the Machine or on the Service Floor. (When Vacuum Pump is mounted on service floor all interconnecting piping and Cabling will be in client’s scope).
S.S 304 CONDENSOR
The Sterilizer is provided with One S.S 304 Steam to water condenser which cools the steam and converts it into water before it goes in the vacuum pump. It protects the vacuum pump and enhances its working and noise reduction.
MANUAL BACK UP
The Control System is provided with a manual backup in case of Automation Failure. Here all Valves, etc. can be operated with individual Switches.
ELECTRICAL SWITCH GEARS (SCHNEIDER ELECTRICALS)
The Control cabinet is provided with a main isolator for the three phase supply and a separate switch for the control supply. All cabling are flexible, all cablings for temperature signals are shielded for minimum electro –magnetic interface. Necessary Relays, Contactors, MCB’s, etc. are also mounted in the Control panel.
OVER PRESSURE SAFETY SYSTEM
The Sterilizer is provided with triple safety system as given below –
1 – Individual Safety valves in Jacket.
2 – Individual Pressure safety switch for Jacket.
3 – Automation controlled pressure in Jacket and Chamber.
STEAM GENERATOR
1) Fabricated from S.S. 304 L sheet with industrial immersion heaters 18 Kw load.
2) The steam generator is provided with automatic pressure control & other safety Features like low water cut off to safe guard heaters, Safety valve, gauge glass etc.
3) All other necessary inlet, outlet & Drain connection with valves are provided.
UTILITIES REQUIRED NEAREST TO THE EQUIPMENT
1) Electric load 22 KW Three Phase 440 V 50 Cs AC Supply.
2) Drain & Condensate Line.
3) Water line for Steam Generator, vacuum pump & condenser.
4) Air pressure line – 6 kg
